Matt Schumacher Receives Community Service Award

Congratulations to Senior Director of Student Success, Matt Schumacher, who was awarded the 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Faculty/Staff Community Service Award for his willingness and ability to lead the university in making a difference for all students. The terrific introduction given Matt upon receiving his recognition barely scrapes the surface of what he means to EKU, to Student Success, and to the students, faculty, and staff with whom he works:

Some refer to him as the “numbers guy”. His love for EKU overflows into his work. He is passionate, honest, charismatic, and a great asset to the University. He has a tremendously keen way of taking the expression of student success and forming it in the most tangible of ways. His service to the campus community and EKU is astronomical and does not go unnoticed.

Three cheers for Matt!! He makes such a difference, and his colleagues are so pleased that all he does has been noticed. Well deserved, indeed!
